Our Peace Pole Is Planted!

Our Peace Pole, installed in the fall of 2013, is one of more than 200,000 planted in more than 200 countries around the world.  Our pole has the phrase May Peace Prevail On Earth in 10 languages—English, Lakota, German, Gaelic, Norwegian, Swedish, Spanish, Chinese, Zulu, Hmong. Though we are not quite sure of Swedish, we know all the other languages have been spoken on this ground we call Shalom Hill Farm.  There are also two sets of symbols on the pole—animal paws and leaves representing our hope for peace in all of creation.  We invite you to come and enjoy this peaceful spot. In 2014 we also planted a “Prayer Tree” near the Peace Pole, where visitors and guests can write a prayer on a fabric strip and tie it on the tree.

  1. I like your Peace Pole. I wish I could be there sometimes so I can write a prayer to place it on the Prayer Tree. Since the Micronesians living in Milan, I hope that we could also put their language on the Peace Pole. I am a peaceful woman, loving and caring. I love it!

    Aloha!
